FUSED WHITE ALUMINA
Description:
C-E Minerals Fused White Alumina is
produced by fusing calcined alumina in an electric arc furnace under carefully
controlled conditions. The material produced is white in color, dense
and has predominantly large crystals of Alpha Alumina. Ingots are crushed,
ground, and precision screened in our new sizing plant to obtain very
consistent sized fractions. Magnetic iron from crushing is removed by
rare earth magnets to ensure very low levels of iron in the finished products.
Close sized fractions are available or precision blended to specification.
This process ensures a very consistent sizing from coarse to fines which
is critical in many applications.
Applications:
C-E Minerals Fused White Alumina can be used to produce high
purity refractory shapes and monolithics, investment casting shells and
for abrasive applications.
